Trip to Chile and Argentina…Maravilloso!

I am now back in China from my trip to South America. A 1 hour flight from Mendoza to Santiago, a 14 hour flight from Santiago to LA via Lima, Peru, a further 14.5 hour flight from LA to Shanghai, a 2.5 hour flight from Shanghai to Beijing and finally a 17 hour train ride from Beijing to Tonghua. With the travel times, waits and time differences, it took me 4 days to get here! I left it was 30’C and arrived in -25’C temperatures…welcome home…!

All in all, it was very successful. Lots happened and we got accomplished what needed to be accomplished. We were able to start some good business relationships and great potential for future cooperation aside from just buying wine and concentrate.

After visiting large scale grape juice concentration plants and wineries in the Mendoza and San Juan area of Argentina, selecting which concentrate to order and tasting a variety of bulk and bottled wines available to us, I headed to Coastal Chile by rented car for some R&R in Vina del Mar and meeting an acquaintance in Santiago who is also a wine producer. Argentina and Chile are beautiful countries with friendly people. I love the food there and obviously the wine. I will certainly be back!
